Facebook announced a new feature called Facebook Connect for iPhone and iPod this weekend. This is the technology to share data between Facebook, com and external applications, which are now integrated into iPhone applications.

With this application, users can publish events, renewal status, and other data on the Facebook feeds. They also can see who your friends are wearing in the ring that the application or invite friends to wear.

Being integrated with the application, the user application Tap Tap Revenge game is popular for example, can publish the highest scores on the Facebook feeds. Similarly Urbanspoon restaurant application users can share a review about a restaurant.

About privacy, Facebook guarantee. This technology is controlled verification of ID and simplify the account creation process for those who want to involve the application. Currently, application developers can add Facebook Connect into it.

"You are now more in control, you can add or remove people who voice your concerns," said David Morin, Senior Platform Manager for Facebook.

Morin demonstrate how Facebook Connect works at the festival South by Southwest Interactive 2009 in Austin, Texas. In the near future, the Agency Wars game will also be using Facebook Connect. This is the model of games like James Bond.
